Vacancy For QC Superintendent (F/M)
Your main duties will be:
Responsible for ensuring and enforcing the quality implementation on the FPSO Modules fabricated in Nigeria especially in pressure vessel.
QA Activities
- To ensure Contractor's work is in compliance with approved Quality Control Plan and requirement for Pressure Vessel (CS, DS and SS) delivery.
- To raise non-conformance report when work is not in accordance with project requirement
- To ensure that, for his discipline, the quality assurance record books are properly documented and maintained by the contractor.
- To issue field instructions to the contractor as directed by the Yard Representative.
- To assess any deviation from quality control procedures or requirements requested by the contractor, and make an appropriate recommendation to the Yard Representative.
- To ensure that contractors comply with QA/QC requirements regarding documentation filling, material and control traceability, and materials reception, storage and preservation.
- To ensure compliance on work sites with QAQC rules and standards.
- Ensure proper control/traceability on free issue and purchased materials and that they conform to required specification
- Ensure Contractors’ control and adherence to specification, codes, standards and requirements
- Ensure proper follow-up of Dimensional control, blasting and painting, Pressure tests monitoring and acceptance of load-outs compliant with approved acceptance criteria.
- Update internal Database with all information (Corrective Action Requests, Nonconformities and Deviations / derogations and prepare statistic analysis.
- Determines with the QAQC Leader where improvements are required and where necessary recommend corrective action.
- Participate at kick-off meetings.
- Evaluate Contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers Inspection and Test Plans, long lead items, associated documents and identify any necessary corrective measures.
- Review and endorsed the “As Built” Dossier for completeness and correctness.
- To support the COMPANY and EGINA FPSO Project Quality Team in effective and efficient implementation of CR, GS and quality management system in the respective yard.
QC Activities General
- Perform physical inspections, plan and co-ordinate piping test and to interpret test and result.
- Initiate, discuss with the Contractor’s QA/QC Leader and help to promote all necessary corrective actions for any failure identified within the project quality system.
- Ensure all nonconformities are resolved, track trends and make recommendations to the Contractor’s QAQC Leader for inspection levels and frequency changes.
- Attend weekly project meetings and monthly meetings with Contractors
- Participate in yard project related audit.
QC Activities Specific
- Manage the QAQC Team in the Yard (supervision and inspection) and to maintain firm reporting line to FPSO QAQC Leader and other project hierarchy.
- Where applicable inspects of Stainless Steel Pressure Vessel Fabrication.
- Where there is /are galvanizing processes/activities he/she must understand the galvanizing process and management
- To submit a QC report to the FPSO QC Engineer/Coordinator when deviations are detected so that the contractor can be instructed to take corrective action.
- To monitor the progress of QAQC activities on work sites and submit regular reports to FPSO Quality Package Leader.
- Where applicable inspects fabrication/construction and installation of mechanical equipment for conformity to specifications.
- To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by his hierarchical superiors.
- Prepared and issued Inspection Release Certificates.
- Represent the FPSO Project in all Quality activities in the fabrication yard
Ideally you will have graduated in Bachelor Degree or equivalent in engineering disciplines relevant to Oil&Gas and construction engineering activities.
With a minimum experience of 8 years within a construction experience in Oil&Gas Production Project.
Knowledge in ANSI, ASME, API, Codes, Metallurgy, Welding engineering, NDT
You are fluent in English.
